Our Story

If you ask my family, they'll tell you I chose the wrong profession.

Hi, I'm Riya, founder of Lemomade. 🍋

Meet the Founder

A child disguised as an adult

In a family full of people from IT and investment banking, I was the one who couldn't stop sketching, touching fabrics, and getting excited about colours. Thankfully, they believed in my dream anyway — and that dream eventually took me to NIFT Kolkata and, years later, to Lemomade.

Somewhere along the way, I also discovered that I'm basically a child disguised as an adult. I still wave at babies, I get ridiculously excited over tiny little shoes (and even tinier feet), and I firmly believe children have far better imaginations than the rest of us.

What makes a garment truly worth wearing

Before Lemomade, I spent years working closely with factories and manufacturers. The magic isn't just in pretty prints — it's in fabrics that are gentle on delicate skin, stitching that survives endless adventures, and thoughtful little details that parents may never notice, but always appreciate. Some pieces begin as our own ideas, while others are discovered from remarkable makers whose craftsmanship simply makes us smile… because if it isn't good enough for the little ones we adore, it isn't good enough for Lemomade.

Kindness, stitched into everything we do

Many of our packaging and branding materials are made in collaboration with organisations creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for women from marginalized backgrounds and people with disabilities. It may cost us a little more, but some things are worth far more than saving a few rupees.

Our Promise

Make beautiful clothes, choose them thoughtfully, never compromise on quality — and always leave the world a little kinder than we found it.

We're so happy you're here.
Welcome to Lemomade. 🍋

🍋 Meet the Team

A family group project that somehow got out of hand

Lemomade is technically a company. In reality, it's a family group project that somehow got out of hand. No one officially applied for these jobs — they were simply born into them.

🍋 Drafted Against Their Will #1 — Mom

AI Wizard & Voice of Reason

By day, she leads Data Science and AI for a FinTech company. By night, she's busy helping me make smarter decisions, solving problems I didn't even know existed, and occasionally reminding me that "gut feeling" isn't actually a business strategy.

Whenever I think I've had a genius idea, she politely asks me for data.

She's usually right. I don't enjoy admitting that.

📈 Drafted Against Their Will #2 — Dad

Keeper of the Numbers

Every dreamer needs someone asking, "So… what's the margin?"

Dad makes sure Lemomade doesn't accidentally run entirely on excitement. While I'm busy obsessing over fabrics and colours, he's making sure the revenue wheels keep turning and that we don't spend ₹500 to earn ₹400.

He's living proof that spreadsheets can, in fact, save lives.

📦 Couldn't Say No — Brother

CFO (Chief Furniture & Boxes Officer)

Preparing for his CFA, excellent with finance… and somehow still the designated person for carrying every heavy carton.

Need a pop-up stall assembled? Call him. Need 27 boxes moved in 10 minutes? Call him. Need someone to explain discounted cash flow while lifting a clothing rack? Still him.

He's the muscle, the logistics department, and occasionally my unpaid therapist.

🐶 Coco & Cola

Chief Morale Officers

They don't understand fashion. They contribute absolutely nothing to inventory planning. They've never met a deadline.

But somehow, they're the hardest-working members of Lemomade. Whether I'm sketching, packing orders, replying to customers, or questioning every life decision at 2 a.m., they're always curled up beside me, convinced that emotional support is a full-time profession.

Honestly… they're not wrong.

Come be part of our little lemon family 🍋

Thoughtfully chosen, gently made — for the little ones you adore.
